No, I'm Not A Pushover.

You see, at first, I'm pretty cool and calm about you people moving in. The idea to charge a relatively low rate of RM240 to a room with air cond in the heart of town is okay with me. But trying to push your luck by stepping onto my toe OVER and OVER again doesn't work well with me.

It first started with two Chinese girls from the A/C room wanted out, so I'll have to hand back their share of the deposit and revise a new room rate for the remaining two who were sharing the rooms with them. I tried settling with a RM180 per month but NOOOOO.......

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

You just HAVE to argue for a lower price. I gave you the better end and asked what you propose. You wanted a RM150. Okay, good, fine! RM150 it is. Even if I have to cope with a monthly deficit of RM20 which I'm still able to handle.

To quote your line that you SO throw into my face,
"I believe you must be earning a lot. Nobody does a losing end business. You should earn less by charging us lower. You still need us around right?"

Is that a threat or what, I don't know, but one thing I know for sure, I'm at the losing end in this bid cause if they move out entirely I'm going to have an even BIGGER deficit, so FINE bitches, you win this time even if I have to suck up to my deficit!

And to add insult to injury, it's as if it was a planned joke, the Chinese dude who was renting the medium room from me at RM120 a month wanted out as well by the end of December and was demanding his deposit, hence I HAVE to fork out my money to pay him back. FINE!

Since the words have been uttered directly from the horse's mouth, I have no choice but to scout for new tenants, hence I posted my advert on an online page. But lady luck must be on my side as I have an influx of people wanted to rent rooms from me.Three Malay guys wants to rent my medium room for RM240 (That's RM180 + RM30 + RM30 for two extra tenants in a room), and since the dude from the medium room's gonna leave soon, I told these Malay tenants that they can temporarily move into the small room now, I won't mind and once the medium room tenant moves out, in they go. All is cool and the deposit and monthly rent for January is cashed in.

As a standard procedure, I informed these girls about the new tenants but the response was not as satisfying. These racist buggers went and I quote,

"Haaaa? You want to rent to Malay people? Safe or not? Later they come upstairs and rape me how?"

Please-lah bitch, your face makes the dudes' libido drop right into the core of the Earth okay? You think they will even bother to look at you?

But nonetheless, I've made up my mind as I've to tie up the loose ends for my rent as lord tenant and so the deal is sealed.

And, as if my luck hasn't run out, another two more calls for tenancies came to me. A Chinese lady who wants a room for her nephew and two Malay guys who wants to move in as well. The Chinese lady could settle for the smaller room while the two Malay guys can settle for the larger room which is located right next to the Chinese girls.

But here's the best part. The Chinese dude suddenly sms me, telling me there has been a slight change of plans to him moving out, so he wants to continue renting. I told him that I'm sorry, he has already took his deposit back and in fact, I AM going to lease his room out. And since this is a last minute request, I can't give the room back to you. But he continued and asked me if he could have the large room. To this, I didn't give him the reply on my SMS as I was too busy to think about my lfie than to worry about theirs.

And as standard procedure once again, I informed the girls about the new tenants again. Once again, there was a verbal protest to the two new Malay tenants. And I quote again, this time, a dialogue between me and her,

Girl : What the fuck weh? How can you rent out to more Malay people again?
Me : Erm, yes I can.
Girl : No lah, but why Malay people? Very difficult one you know?
Me : I think I reserve all rights to lease out my rooms to whomever I want. Is there a problem?
Girl : How can you do this to us?
Me : Do what?
Girl : You rent out to them, we are in danger you know?
Me : What danger?
Girl : We girls will be in danger lah from them.
Me : If you feel that you're in danger, stay in your room and lock you doors all time. And before doing so, please clear those clothes of yours occupying my empty room, thanks.
Girl : Eh, don't like that lah... How about this, the Chinese dude who wants to stay right? You let him stay at the large room, then you charge him the same price as before lah.
Me : Erm, sorry, no. He took back his deposit and if he wants a new and different room, means new rates and new deposits. Simple as that. (In my heart, "Fuck you lah bitches. Large room for the price of medium room? Who taught you maths??")
Girl : If that is the case, if you rent out to the Malay guys, we will move out.
Me : Who is this "we" you speak of?
Girl : Four of us.
Me : And that would be you and?
Girl : Me, my room mate, the Chinese guy (so I see, you guys HAVE already ganked up one me!) and another friend of mine who is moving in.
Me : Dear girl, I've already heard about your "My friend wants to move in" line like ten million times already. It's been five months continuously with no actions, so why should I even bother this time?
Girl : Wah lau weh, so you don't want to rent out to us Chinese lah? Rather help the Malays lah? You scared we all run away meh? We got give deposit and we pay on time (Fuck you lah pay on time. You delay a month already okay? December rent also not yet give.)
Me : Nothing about helping Malay or Chinese. But if they can offer me higher than what YOU argued for last time, I think you are in no rights to tell me what to do.
Girl : Okay lah, fine, you want RM240 for the large room right? We take it. RM480 with deposit right?
Me : IF and ONLY IF you can fork out another 2 months deposit, as usual. That would total to RM720 which my new tenant is going to bank in to me tomorrow. Can you top that?
Girl : What the fuck? RM480 lah, you scared we all run off meh? We are Chinese people leh! (Honestly I am. And what has this got to do with being Chinese or Malay?)
Me :RM720. Top that, and perhaps I'll consider. Plus, till when will you and your friends want to stay? (Oh god, I LOVE that feeling when I was on the winning side.)
Girl : Until end of March.
Me : Okay, you know what, my new tenant is looking at long term and looking forward to you moving out so that HE can occupy your air conditioned room and pay me almost double as much as what you bargained. My new tenant is going to come to the house to see the room later, so please clean up the room before we arrive. Just a reminder that I go by a first come first serve basis. When I was having a hard time trying to cope with the extra deficit, were you guys there to help me out? No, you took a bite out of me and wanted an even lower rent. And to quote what you said to me before "Nobody does a losing end business." so this room goes to the highest bidder by the end of this month too. (I'm so LOVING the moment when I rubbed that IN HER FACE!!!)

And that's the end of our conversation.

My tenant arrived later in the evening and took a glimpse of the house and was satisfied (Of course, yours truly here has cleaned the damn house before they arrived cause the girls eventually didn't even clean up the place.) and inquired about the rent, collecting date, utilities, bank account number and etc. And this was when the fun started ALL OVER AGAIN. I got a text from the Chinese girl (In a desperate measure on her half) saying that they have already found a tenant for me and is willing to pay RM240 per month, but still no news about the agreed deposit. I never agreed nor even reply the message to begin with. I've quite made up my mind that if these Malay dudes can hand in the money to me by tomorrow, I'm letting them move in without any objection. The purpose, to drive these girls out, so that I can lease the most valuable room to the new tenants at a higher rate and then keep the large room empty for myself. SO MUCH WIN for one night!

That's all for tonight, thatnks for reading! =)

Trying out something new this Christmas.

So here I am, sitting at my kitchen with my cup of coffee and enjoying this new year wind that has been blowing lovingly at my face. Now, the thing about Christmas this year, I haven't really been much into the whole Christmas mood this year, partly cause the lack of work being offered during Christmas and there's been too many ups and downs this month itself, giving me too many to bother about than to rest beliefs at the fat old man in red.

Anywho, yesterday was pretty fun for a countdown. Elton and I went to Portuguese Settlement and got ourselves these as our very own Christmas gift.

Le me derp face and zee foxxie spirit hood

Our very first spirit hood, albeit not as classy and great as the original but it's cute enough, so who cares? :D

It's really cheap per se, and we actually got it by chance. We were loafing around behind the booth without actually noticing what they were selling until when we decide to hunt for food, that was when we got a real good glance at the shop around there. Then it was also by chance we met my friend who was working at that booth, helping the lady boss to sell these stuff. After some negotiation (haggling) we've finally come to terms that the hoodie is to be purchased at RM13 a-piece, so I got two of them! A brown fox for myself and an arctic fox for Elton as a Christmas gift.

So instead of the conforming Santa Hat, we got ourselves these instead. :3

Apart from that, we also got ourselves these!

Kong Ming Lanterns!!!

Yes, those were the exact lantern that we lighted up that night. Kong Ming lantern is traditionally used by the Chinese to make a wish and send it to the heaven so that the gods may hear/read as some may write their wish upon the lantern and hence the gods will grant them. The higher your lantern flies, the sooner your wish will come true. And then, of course, there are some of the tragic wishes that never came true. The ones that burn midway up in the air, or those that failed to fly. Sadly I've no opportunity to snap those that didn't work or were ended up in a blaze. It was sad, but hilarious at the same time. And then, there were a bunch of Indians trying to light these lanterns. The fun part about these Indians, instead of waiting for the balloon to heat up and fly (It's a damn hot air balloon you moron!!) they lighted the firestarter beneath the lantern and when they felt just about right, yanked and tossed the lantern into the air. I watched the poor lantern being dramatically tossed into the air, fall onto the ground and burn into ashes, thanks to those machas. It was really comical and relatively stupid of them. XD

Anywho, I wished for the few usual stuff. Money, love and peace. (Hey, I'm a Chinese, sue me!)

And of course, here's to wishing all of you readers a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year. =)

Cold Blood, Colder Heart.

Malaysians, have once again, proven to the world that we're no better than China when it comes to socioconciousness, or simply social conciousness. The recent incident in Penang where a live was lost, not because of the woman falling prey to brazen snatch thieves, but rather, a victim of a lackadaisical community who refused to even lift a finger to help TWO minutes after the incident, according to moments captured over the CCTV at the area.

As mentioned in my most-read post up to now in this blog, it's a fact and only suits us so well to call ourselves nothing but Asian-leveled keyboard-warriors. It's sad to reckon, but it's also befitting to label ourselves as people with a "First Class Facilites, Third World Mentality." What's the point of having CCTVs set up, living in a high valued land when the mindset of the people are so selfish and apathetic when it comes to lending a hand to save a life?

I can see how some years ago, netizens across Malaysia were so rilled up, agitated with pure (assuming they were, well, if not, I'm being sarcastic then) anger, itching to kill the perpetrator for the madness they heaved onto A BLOODY PET DOG. But no... the anger was only but a candle in the wind. Apparently, it's just an all-talk, no-show kinda business as usual in Facebook. Apparently, clicking a "Like" or "Share" of that mad video ups your credibility as a concerned human being, right? Then, once the duty of sharing or liking is done, we Malaysians conveniently forget everything. And who would have thought Malaysians literally learned nothing about being socioconcious. Take two on two, suppose we do know we live in a mad world, wouldn't it be logical for the community to be more concious and empathetic of situations, like such of what happened to that poor lady; sprawled on the ground with a broken skull, succumbing to her injuries hours later due to the apathy of the people who actually WALKED passed her as if nothing had happened. The situation is so disgusting, a carbon-copy of the remnant news where a two year old girl in China was ran over by a vehicle and 18 passer-bys just walked passed without even looking or helping. So, how far apart are we from China anyway?

I deeply sympathize with the lost of the victim's life and what the victim's sister emphasized for this incident on the news article really should resonate louder than a church bell to those who had turned a blind eye to the victim's situation;

"Listen to your conscious."

You can read more about the incident here.

I Don't Usually Do This.

Let's first be reminded that the pictures may differ from what I was served but it's definitely what I had.

Been reading some so-called local food expert's blog on one restaurant. Apparently, you see, this blogger must either have a failing taste bud or his nerves went wrong. You don't compare unhealthy food with healthy food when it comes to taste. this "local food expert" complained about the garlic bread that he was served and compared it to Pizza Hut's garlic bread. Bloody clown has forgotten that Pizza Hut's breads are no where near fresh nor healthy, peppered with low grade MSG and taste like chewy rubber.

Anyway, not trying to be sentimental but let's just call a spade as a spade. My first hand experience there was of course DEFINITELY BETTER THAN PIZZA HUT. Of course, the meal I had there was definitely coincidental. While waiting for a friend, I was having a nice chat with the owner of the restaurant. Knowing that I'm waiting for a friend, he courteusly asked if I would want to have my dinner there before I leave as I was just having a cup of cappuccino. I've been there several times and have even gave them some tips on the preparations of the coffee as the barista was still new while the other more experienced barista wasn't around the other day. There were severe improvements to the cappuccino's taste but of course, one minor mistake that was made when they served me was, the cup that was used wasn't hot enough, rendering the cuppuccino to cool faster and lose it's richness quickly. ANYWAY, back to the food, despite being at Venezia several times, I have never had first hand experience on their solid food. I know I had their pure mushroom soup made entirely of white button mushroom and not cream. The taste is of course, way better and more authentic than Pizza Hut's crappy cream mushroom. So, since the owner asked, I just thought, why not? So I asked for the menu and had some recommendations given to me.

First meal I had the Spaghetti Vongole.

The thing about this spaghetti is, I have a generous amount of clams on my dish (I'd say about 20?). I am known to really opt out of seafood when possible, but when this dish comes to my table, to put it in plain words, it's just bloody tempting. Fresh clams cooked with spaghetti with dashes of parsley to decorate it to eye-perfection. The smell was simply irresistable. You see, I'm not much of a foodie as I don't go food hunting as often, but as a cook myself, what I seek for is health and taste in my food, and usually these things come in "either, or" situations but on rare occasions like these, neither was compromised. Cooked with white wine, the slightly intoxicating taste of the fresh clam was simply exquisite. Not too heavy, neither too "fishy". On the "health meter" it's not as salty nor oily as many imperfect pasta taste like. I can't understand how that "local food expert" can claim that the taste of white wine was almost non-existent, for you see, these people don't know how to cook. IT IS SUPPOSE TO BE ALMOST NON-EXISTENT! As much as I can tell you from my cooking experience, white wine are sometimes used to cover up unnecessarily heavy taste, in this case, the clams. And when cooked in heat, the wine evaporates, leaving behind a subtle taste, hence you only have that tingly taste of white wine, and not as heavy as how it taste like when you drink it! And to back it up, here's a site with a How To on cooking with wine.

http://whatscookingamerica.net/WineInCooking.htm

Next thing I had was their Pizza Porco. (By now the owner was really generous and was asking me to join him on some food sampling as they are redoing the entire SOP for their restaurant)

THIS, according to the owner, was a RESOLUTION to the non-halal status that they have just been. (Previously, they were Halal, but the menu needed a new twist.) Crusty pizza coated with cheese and tomato sauce, topped with bell peppers of red and green and also a hefty amount of bacon strips and chips and pork meatballs! Now THAT is pizza perfect! I can still remember the strings of cheese clinging on to every slices as we served them out. The bell pepper played its role well when it comes to food decoration. Usually, bell peppers are used to add natural healthy colours to your food to make them more appetizing. This is definitely worth the money as we know, when you compare this with your local pizza which serves chunks of meat on their pizza. A chunk of grinded meat is cheaper than slices of proper meat as grinded chunk of meat are usually made of unwanted or lose parts of meat which don't sell in the market and hence grinded into a pile of gooey mess. Slices, on the other part, are selected meat from parts you usually have (ie : thighs, breast, loins) and that way, the quality and taste on the meat are maintained instead of a mix-match mish-mash of grinded low quality meat. This is in response to those "local food expert" when they complained about being served slices of chicken meat instead of chunky chicken meat. Before claiming to be a foodie, I'd really appreciate it if they would learn how and where their food come from.

Last but not least, I realised these bloggers aren't exactly great food tasters but more like food bloggers as I realised this when I was reading their blog, they only take photos of their food and bitch on everything they can. Never once have I read anything about them talking about the ingredient and why the mentioned ingredient was used.

A word from the owner himself, "Let our food speak for itself." and that has been true as I notice an influx of new walk-in customers lately compared to the last time I was there. (Comparison was made at a same time on a same day but on different weeks. Sunday, dinner time, if you want to be precise)

MILE Drama : The Merchant of Venice

MILE Drama : The Merchant of Venice

The hardest part in seeing something fall is knowing that you were the one who brought it up. Clearly, I've went through twice of the same experience of late and regretfully, I knew I had to let them go. But it matters not anymore, since I've took the old road home. That past month was one filled with exhiliration and excitement. The Multimedia's Initiative for the Language of English (MILE), technically, the university's English Society has once again thrown some purpose into my university life from that one single event called the MILE Drama : The Merchant of Venice. From all that dancing to drama to emceeing, I've found some new ways to better myself artistically. As I have mentioned before, I'm someone who gets bored too darn quickly and with a stale brain, my creativity dies exponantially. But luckily, those unruly routines of dances till the early morning (try staying with the crews till 4am) despite the gruelling and aching sores, stinking and sweaty bodies, the product of our hardwork was worth the while.

                                                 The Final Strike

Anyway, the ladies have been really brilliant on the day itself and the guys just marched in line. The crowd was cheering us on and oh the magnificent feeling of being showered with camera lights when we guys walked into the stage.

Though of course, the dance wasn't all that I'm part of with. I've got a comment per se asking why am I not acting in the MILE Drama. Twice! Well, to begin, I had a feeling that I should let the younger bloods get involved into bigger roles and those roles where they can't fit in, that is where I come in. Code One of "Le Ops de Noir". Since we have plenty of brilliant young minds who are keen to act and perform, why not let them have a go at it right? So I struck a deal to forgo acting but I shall reprise myself as the emcee for the night; and thank god I did. A win-win situation it was, the younger members were quite the actors for their role while I think I have carved my name in the emceeing line as I realised many MMUians have lately recognised me as the emcee for that night. Commendations from the VIPs were greatly motivating too and since that night, I was offered another role to emcee for another company. Good pay and benefits, why not eh? =)

Also, apart from that, my name, in MMU has since been known as "David The Cunning", mainly due to my Facebook. "The Cunning" has hence became a household name, I kid you not. Lecturers and students alike has been referring to me that way!

https://www.facebook.com/audesxerxes

Take one. Lecturer was conversing with me, I helped her for a bit and she said "Why thank you David... the cunning."
I swear I was stunned for two seconds.

Take two. Yesterday night, I was having my yumcha session with my buddies, a friend of mine, Jo, walked passed us and didn't notice me. She was with her friends some tables away from us. Despite making eye contact with her, or me calling her name, she couldn't recognise me. (which was quite depressing, really)
Soon, her friends started pointing at my direction and she took another glance at my table. I then conveniently took out my phone and rang her up, that's when she knew I was there. She sashayed over and apologised to me cause she didn't quite see me, to which I took a jab back that she also forgotten about her hearing aid (obviously she don't need any, but that's for not hearing me calling her name at an arm's length)
Anyway, apparently, she realised I was there when her friend starts pointing at my direction and here's how their conversation went.

"Isn't that your friend named David?"

"David who? Which David?"

"You know, David The Cunning?"

"Oh yeah! That's him."

That really made me laugh my arse off.

Anyway, marking my presence as the emcee of the event also was another VIP from the Students Activity Division (STAD), Mr Nizam.

One cool funny dude whom shares mutual interest with me ranging from coffee to attitudes. =D

The event was a success, considering the sheer number of audience who SAT THROUGH THE ENTIRE DRAMA and never left. And of course, the lucky draws.

AND WE HAVE A WINNER!
Of course, everyone wants a piece of the grand prize anyway, which was an acoustic guitar, promptly suggested by yours truly.

The lucky winner for the night!

Seeing the crowd going wild from their seats when you're conducting the lucky draw is definitely one of the most surreal feeling you can get. You know you have the crowd's excitement in your hands (their lucky number is in your hand, but oh well...) and you know you have to make full use of the excitement to the best extent.

Crowd-strong of 700 plus which sat through the entire drama!

After all that's been said and done, we busied ourselves with photoshoots of our own.

And last but not least, a big thank you to everyone who has poured out their heart and soul for the success of one of the greatest event MMU has ever seen. =)

Just a filler for now.

We've been through this, many of us. A break up. Mine wasn't too bad. I was just upset that I was loved not because of who I am but more of what I had. Such discouragement, but nevertheless I'm not really perturbed by this small matter.

Anyways, once in awhile, I have been on the verge of breaking down from madness, either due to stress or it's just a normal thing for me to be mad. My health has been rather nice prior to this because as of right now, I have this ache on my ribs, probably from lying down flat for too long and have a very bad feeling that a fever is coming up next, but it doesn't matter cause it's not like I have things to live for now.

Right now, I'm somewhat free as a bird, doing lots of stuff to pass my time. THough I've been observing some changes around people I know. Have you ever noticed, how hard, people around you are trying to prove themselves so much, that they just end up trying too hard? Sometimes, we should just lighten up a bit and not be so uptight.

But then again, as I did mention before in one of my FB posts, in times of difficulty, you will see who your true friends are. In fact, it wasn't I who is in difficulty. Such sad and materialistic world we live in.

Hope my art-rush comes back to me again so that I can burn myself up with more artistic stuff instead of being unproductive. Unproductivity kills me and my ideas very quickly.

The Middle Income Trap

These are merely unbiased thoughts of myself and noone else's. Should you feel not comfortable reading it, you may very well leave this blog and never come back.

Don't know if anyone realised this, in Malaysia, the rich gets richer while the poor gets poorer, but what is even more dangerous is being trapped in the middle income. This "middle-income trap" in economic term is the biggest class in Malaysia where most citizens sweat and toil like a machine everyday and yet still have to pay off a huge house loan, car loan and some other smaller loans. (maybe like education loan etc..)

By simply raising our GDP as suggested by some beloved leader of the country is not going to help us change into a high-income nation. While the rich gets richer is has made the borders of being in the "high income group" go higher and higher, hence no matter how hard the middle income strive, unless they can earn more than the high-income group, they can never reach the high-income status.

Apart from that, you (in the middle-income group) can never be poor as well if the poor gets poorer as they drag the poverty line lower. Unless you intentionally fuck yourself financially, say like throwing all your cash into a huge bonfire, you are not going to be so poor that you cannot afford to have a meal a day! It's virtually impossible for this to happen in Malaysia! Ask yourself, honestly, when was the last time you hear any news saying someone died of hunger from poverty in Malaysia?

So, how can this work out, you might ask. This matter corelates with the productivity of our nation. But given the rich natural resources and the seemingly talented dear Malaysians, why are we having this kind of problem? Shouldn't we be having a sustainable productivity? The problem is pretty simple actually. Brain drain and also financial drain.

The brain drain starts with pure genius talents in Malaysia migrating elsewhere for a better prospect or any other reasonable reasons. (Of course eloping could also be one of them, trust me.) We've heard enough of this from even our own relatives and parents to know enough on the reason why Malaysians leave their own land for a greenerpasture elsewhere.

The financial drain in Malaysia can be divided into two accounts. First and foremost, our issatiable reliance on foreign workers. Foreign labours; cheap, lasting, easy to manipulate and dispose, government-supported for election reasons. With an influx of these foreign labours, the currency of our nation plummets so much because of the outflow of our currency which ended up offshore. IF our currency goes offshore but is re-invested back into our country, that would be a different story. Point-in-case, money going out, never come back, Ringgit devalues, we're fucked. So no you know why there are more and more Indons, Banglas, Nepalis, Myanmars and etc around Malaysia right? Clear? Good.

Another account of financial drain would be corruptions and I don't mean petty ones, happening in our country. Huge large sums of money meant for civilian welfare just go up and off in thin air through quick-schemes and contracts shared among the corrupted "brotherhood" created to milk the resources of our country and directly into their own pocket for good. And because the tracking of money would be more difficult hen transfered offshore, hence, don't expect the sum to appear in our nation's statistics as these corrupted money will end up being spent out of Malaysia. You can also see many little "middleman' company being set up (with the help of our beloved government, new laws have allowed some go-to companies to be set up with a minimal fee of RM2) JUST to help with the transaction of these contract and thus, earning commission from the transaction. The ambiguousity that appears from the company with a sole purpose of helping the ONE transaction could never be more pertainingly curious. Why do we need these kind of company in the first place? Why waste more public money on nonsensical spending?

As if that is not enough, let me quote a case. The Australian company LYNAS whom attained green lights from the ruling bloc of the government albeit huge protest from the opposition and civilians; is coming into our grounds to set up a manufacturing plant.

Let me brief out the impacts this company would cause. First off, roughly putting it, LYNAS is a company that produces radioactive parts meant for high-end technolgy, such like your handphones, computer and etc. The waste from these company are dumped into our soil, devaluing not only our land but also our health. Apart from treating our land like a dumpsite for their production, to add insult to injury, this company is let in and given tax-exemption for 12 years. The ruling bloc Barisan Nasional actually allowed this company to come into our land, pollute the grounds, killing the health of the lower and middle-incomers nearby, lowering living standards and as if that is not enough, they are given tax-exemption for UP TO 12 YEARS! What's wrong with the government??! And there you have this question, but as question lead to question, we shall ask, whta goodies did the ruling party receive already from these foreign countries that they in turn are getting such great contracts? This is where and how the rich and powerful gets richer and more powerful.

So, to make the income gap smaller, it's pretty simple. Stop the rich from getting richer from dirty deals and help the poor from getting poorer. Perhaps instead of killing the lower and middle income group, the high-income group can try investing into social welfare for a higher living standard in our country.

If all else is not working... well, we just need a new government.
